Épico

Não é necessário dizer porque "épico", o nome já é suficiente:

The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars

é fantástico (ao pé da letra!!) uma história que mistura ficção científica (bem de leve) com uma idéia messiânica e é claro cultura pop. Funcionou muito bem! A música título resume quse totalmente a idéia. Na gravação do Bauhaus a música fica esplêndida. O próprio Bowie disse que eles interpretam como ele deveria. Vejamos a letra:

Ziggy played guitar, jamming good with Wierd and Gilly,
The Spiders from Mars.
He played it left hand, but made it too far,
Became the special man, then we were Ziggy's Band.
Ziggy really sang, screwed up eyes and screwed down hairdo

Making love with his ego Ziggy sucked up into his mind

When the kids had killed the man I had to break up the band
